My background.

Hi! I’m Kelsey, a communications professional who is passionate about the intersection of business and social justice.

My story starts at the age of 10, when my family picked up from the suburbs of Long Island and moved to New York City.

After settling down in the city, I was enrolled in the all-female school, Nightingale-Bamford, where a sense of women’s empowerment was first ingrained in me. It taught me about leading a path of purpose and standing up for others.

This purpose drew me to Lafayette College in 2011 to pursue a dual major of Psychology and Women and Gender Studies. It is what inspired my senior thesis on “Aggression Against Women in Fraternal Cultures,” which eventually led to my acceptance into The Scientific Research Honor Society.

Fast forward to today, my purpose and passion for social justice has defined my career. After graduating from Lafayette College, I joined the global public relations firm, Edelman, to help companies build social cause campaigns, furthering their mission by making a difference in the world. I had a brief stint in the blockchain world before joining Prudential Financial, where I aided the Fortune 500 company in amplifying its commitment to the city of Newark and communities around the world.

Today, I am leaning into this purpose more than ever. As I continue to invest in a career of meaning, I am using this blog to explore areas that I am deeply passionate about, including personal finance for women, ESG, and impact investing.

I hope you will enjoy it as much as I love writing it.
